| Mr. Reeves is a 21 year veteran attorney who limits his law practice to serious workers' compensation and personal injury cases in both North Carolina and South Carolina. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but was raised in the small town of Valdosta. He was instilled with good, wholesome values and brings that perspective to his practice. Mr. Reeves makes himself personally available to his clients and routinely takes phone calls in the evenings and weekends. After completing pre-nursing courses at his hometown college, Mr. Reeves transferred and graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia in 1984. He worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a variety of hospital settings, including intensive care, open-heart recovery, dialysis, and outpatient surgery. Mr. Reeves decided to apply his medical training and background by attending law school at the University of South Carolina where he graduated in 1989. Upon graduation, Mr. Reeves worked for the litigation firm of Collins & Lacy, PA, in Columbia, South Carolina, where he tried cases in both federal and state courts as well as the SC Workers' Compensation Commission. In 1991, Mr. Reeves began working with the regional law firm of Maupin, Taylor, Ellis & Adams, PA, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. While based in the Rock Hill, South Carolina, office, Mr. Reeves represented self-insured employers, including Springs Industries, Bowater, and Willamette Industries, in addition to several major insurance carriers. Insights learned during those first seven years as an insurance defense lawyer have provided him with an understanding of what defenses to expect and how to prepare cases accordingly. In 1996, Mr. Reeves began representing injured persons and their families with his first firm Atwater, Schiller & Reeves, LLC. That firm ultimately grew into five offices, serving Rock Hill, York, Lancaster, Chester, and Columbia. In 2002, Mr. Reeves became affiliated with Rinehart, Matthews, Schiller, Shaw & Reeves, LLC, a full service firm which handled all types of cases, including personal injury, workers' compensation, criminal, family law, business, and residential/commercial real estate. In 2006, Mr. Reeves opened his own law practice in Baxter Village, Fort Mill, South Carolina and now devotes his full time and energy to helping those injured and their families while they cope with serious injury and its effects on all of their lives. Mr. Reeves is 46 years old, is married himself, and has four children, three of whom are attending college. He understands and appreciates the importance of family and protects his clients like his own. Unlike other law firms in the area, you will actually speak with Mr. Reeves directly, not a young lawyer or paralegal. He actually advertises his mobile telephone numbers which allows him to personally review your case and be reached when needed most. Mr. Reeves will give you an honest assessment of your case and whether he can help. It costs you nothing to call but could cost you everything if you don't.
